La Famiglia - Stark Vineyard • Chehalem Mountains

Our first chardonnay (clones 76 & 95) from the newly acquired Stark Vineyard, fermented in a 70/30 combination of french oak and stainless steel. Pale straw yellow in color, with a vibrant tropical nose of Meyer lemon, honeydew and sweet pineapple. The palate, rich and creamy with a sumptuous core of lemon curd, baked pears and a soothing blanket of butterscotch. Perfectly balanced with a tight ring of acidity, a hint of lemon oil viscosity and a long, complex finish. Pair with poached scallops, buttery lobster tails or oysters on the half shell!
