Originating from coastal Croatia & planted in southern Italy around 1700 where it is known as the “Star of Puglia”. Very much the “Belle of the Ball”, this racy little debutante radiates an intense nose of vanilla, fig jam and blackberry raisins. The palate a ripe and lusty swinger with black cherry, cinnamon, fig and Mediterranean herbs, all silky smooth with velvety tannins - a thrilling wine, to be sure!
